Good Samaritans find German shepherd pup with mouth taped shut
Good Samaritans made a disturbing discovery in Denver, Colorado, on Saturday
A soaking wet German shepherd pup, just eight months of age, was wandering near South Platte River Drive and Huron Street with tape tightly bound around her snout and wrapped around her front legs.
The individuals who found the pup removed as much of the tape from her body as they could and she was then taken to the Denver Animal Shelter. A veterinarian examined the young dog and determined that she is in good health. A microchip was not found and the dog did not have any other form of identification on her.
Officials are hoping to find the person responsible for putting the tape on this pup – if the individual is found and convicted, they could face up to a year in jail and fines. If anyone recognizes this dog, or has information about this cruelty case, is asked to call the Denver Animal Shelter at 720-913-1311.
The dog is currently on a stray hold at the animal shelter.

Remember Caitlyn the pitbull from Charleston? A short while ago she had her muzzle taped shut for days and required surgery for her resulting injuries. She has since been seen on calender shoots with firefighters for charity calenders. Caitlyn is reported to be doing well.
Otis, a pitbull pup was discovered wandering around Laplace, Louisiana on Thursday, June 5,2015. He had his muzzle taped shut and a piece of cloth around his neck. He required surgery, and is doing well.
In April 2015 a Westminster Colorado man was charged with animal cruelty after someone found his dog with electrical tape wrapped around his muzzle. Parts of the Australian Shepherd’s mouth were swollen and cut by the tape. He was also very dehydrated.
Calgary, Atlanta, Cochella, Dallas are some of the other places this kind of cruelty has been done to our fury friends in the last year. And that’s is just one of the types of torture….
